Utilizing a different approach to vampire stories, this 2006 movie could have been a classic, but due to untrained directing it remains only as a great flick. Set in an alternate past of the 1960 in which the vampires walk amongst humans and help them it focuses its story on a renegade vampire who started [...]

Coming from the director of Rec, this movie is a thrill ride that has its almost boring parts and also awesome, thrilling parts. I do not know if this was the intention of the director, to make such a contrast between different elements to make the scary ones even more scarier or he simply did not [...]

After a salvage crew discovered an Italian de luxe ship called Antonia Graza, that has been missing from 1962 something strange will start to happen and they will soon discover that the ship is not so abandoned as they initially thought. Directed by Steve Beck(Thir13en Ghosts so you probably know his vibe) and featuring Gabriel [...]

A brilliant society satire regarding the upper class. This movie is a bit abstract, but  the message is clear, and in the grand finale you will find out what is it. Although some of you will not appreciate the graphic content (I mean when a poster for a movie is a head sticking from its [...]

With strong message about environment and global warming this movie is in the gray area about the whole thing. Did they want to bring attention to the problem or portray environmentalists as nuts? Nevertheless, it is not that big a deal, but if they wanted to make a proper movie they should have thought this [...]

In the recent years we have witnessed a number of excellent horror flicks coming from Great Britain, and as always as soon as something started to get good reviews a bunch of amateurs begun to make crappy flicks just to cash in on this trend. The Gnaw is one of them, please stay away from [...]

This Robert Kurtzmans classical horror gore fest is rather contradicting. It combines an excellent finale with a strong and moving message with very bad acting and CGI.The blood and actual corpses are done masterfully and there is a lot of gore in this flick, I wish that they stuck with make up and other noncomputer effects. [...]

Another great movie that mixes horror and comedy genre. And this one has high production values, so expect great special effects of those slimy worms that you see in the poster. In back woods of a small and idyllic city in America a small meteor hit the ground. From it something crawled out and later [...]

The sequel to the first Fritt Vilt from 2006 managed to be worth watching. Although the plot seems a bit far fetched, I mean that guy can take an Axe to the chest, bullets, deep freeze and everything else in between, but I guess that`s part of his charm. Jannicke, survivor of the 2006 massacre, [...]

This classic never gets old, it is the beginning of the Grindhouse genre break into mainstream cinema. Of course, Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino later on did the  movie called Grindhouse, that was perfect. Back to this masterpiece, combining the thriller and horror genre that is divided into two parts, this movie was entertaining from [...]

Although this movie has been praised over the Internet, and I am sure that in  later years it will achieve a cult status, I do not think it is that good. Yes, it is really good, combining some elements like DC comic style of directing, vampires, werewolves, comedy and horror into a visually great blend [...]

I think that we have a new genre emerging from Norwegian cinematography, a Norwegian Snow Slasher Horror. Much like the Dead Snow, this movie based its story on a group of friends stranded in a remote hotel surrounded by nothing but snow and mountains. Acting is amazing, and it just shows that this type of [...]

Using the classical plot from American slasher teen movies, this flick still managed to be interesting. I recommend that you see it in native German language and not English sync, as always. So a group of high school friends are being stalked and killed by a mysterious assassin. They all got the message on their [...]

If I see another movie with a bunch of teenagers lost in a middle of nowhere, getting killed by a killer with a mask I`m going to puke. Although there is a lot of nudity and mild gore in this flick it is still a commercial milking slasher movie without anything new. The only reason [...]

If you like ghost movies here`s one for you. Although the production values were great and the cast was decent the end of this flick was somewhat a downer. An ex con moves into his dead mothers apartment and then strange things start to happen. There are a lot of suspense and this movie did [...]

Here comes another great French horror flick. This one too is based on true events, although loosely I can imagine that worse things than this happened. With a bit of research you can find out that the similar story happened to an Austrian couple. So Clementine is French teacher working in school in Romania, and [...]

This commercial horror turned out pretty decent. Using a video game, instead of some Internet site, to kill its characters it did not go far from the clichés in the industry but did manage to be interesting. When a group of friends discover a new underground game Stay Alive, and of course, they soon start [...]

Another horror movie that uses the premise based on a true events. This time, the foundation of the story is laid properly, since the events in this movie happened to some extent. An American student was killed during a spring break in a occult ceremony, and later on police discovered bodies of other victims. Cult [...]

The final part of the Evil Dead trilogy (although there are roomers that there is going to be a fourth flick, but it is unclear is it going to be a remake of the first part or a new movie) is the funniest one. The horror part is not so scary and this movie is [...]

By my opinion this is the best part of the trilogy. It combines action, horror and comedy in a best possible way, so do not be surprised when one minute your laughing and the next you are scared. Ash as a sole survivor of the massacre in the first part, now have to fight of [...]
