Tucker And Dale Vs Evil 2010 Movie Scene Tyler Labine as Dale and Alan Tudyk as Tucker holding half a human body in front of a sheriff

Tucker And Dale Vs Evil [2010]

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is one of those horror comedies that took me completely by surprise. I was expecting something cheap, uninspired, and shlocky, and instead got a masterpiece. A masterpiece that I’m sure I’m going to keep coming back to in times of need. There have been so many horror movies featuring crazy hillbillies and rednecks that this kind of a plot didn’t come up sooner. So, apart from the main theme, this movie is loaded with hilarious jokes, slapstick humor, and a lot of juicy graphic violence.

A perfect dose of insanity to kick off your horror-comedy movie night in the right way. Of course, Tucker and Dale vs Evil wouldn’t be the same movie without the main stars of the show, Tucker and Dale. Played by hilarious Alan Tudyk whom I loved ever since I saw him in Death at the Funeral and Tyler Labine whom I never liked. However, I have to admit that he gave one hell of a performance here. The two of them had great chemistry, feeding off each other and channeling this positive energy toward the viewer.

I hope this movie gets a sequel because I can’t wait to see what kind of shit they will get into in that one. And that’s the thing about this movie that I loved. Despite all the gore and murders, it has a very lively and uplifting atmosphere. Well, at least for us, fans of this combination of genres. And the script is really intelligent. It takes all the genre tropes and turns them on their head, so horror fans will have a lot to look forward to.

It’s summer and that means only two things for our merry group of college students: camping and partying! They find themselves in rural West Virginia where they run into Tucker and Dale, two locals who just bought their dream house. However, what’s going to happen next will not be a dream but a living nightmare.

I don’t want to give away too much of a plot as I will spoil all the fun you’re going to have with this one. The central concept reminded me of a hilarious Italian comedy Il Mostro [1994] starring Roberto Benigni. Moving on, I have to say that I identified with a lot of the scenes from this movie. They hit me right in the fucking teens. And that’s all I’m going to say. I don’t want to bother you too much with this one as it’s simply too good for that. So, stop whatever the fuck you’re doing right now and check out Tucker and Dale vs Evil.
