Coming to us from Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Contact, Beowulf) this surreal satire comedy is a little older but still looks pretty good. Bare in mind that this is 1992 and the CGI and all the other stuff
were just emerging. Madeline and Helen are old time rivals in everything, from men to beauty. But when the time begun to take its tall on their bodies they became desperate. Of course a magical potion will help them, or will it? I just loved action star Bruce Willis as a clumsy and lost surgeon, he really showed that he can play diverse roles. Although the effects were at the time mind boggling the main thing about this flick is the universal story of eternal life, happiness and all the other fun stuff seen through the satire of rivalry and love. Enjoy.
PS I cannot forget Isabella Rossellini, she is half naked the whole flick, she reminds me of the vibe that Monica Bellucci has today
Director: Robert Zemeckis
Cast: Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis, Goldie Hawn, Isabella Rossellini, Nancy Fish, Michelle Johnson
Rating:

Fun Stuff: A pneumatic bra was built to create the effect where Meryl Streep’s breasts become higher and firmer after drinking the potion, but the effect didn’t look realistic enough. In order to get the shot Meryl Streep’s dresser stood behind her, out of sight of the camera, and pushed her breasts into position.
