I really thought that this movie would suck big time(suck lol), but it turned out to be a heart-warming comedy that leaves viewer interested in destinies of the characters. The leads are phenomenal, I knew that Ewan was a versatile
actor and Jim just showed that he can play almost anybody and make him funny. Subtle humor and toying with the whole gay vibe are the sources of endless jokes and funny situations. Since we are not used to see a gay love story on the big screen this is quite refreshing, especially since it is all true.
Steven Russell is an average guy that is happily married and has a steady job. But after he realizes that he is gay he decides to live his life to the fullest, and that is going to require a lot of money, so he starts his endless cons to get that money. And that gets him into prison where he will meet the love of his life Phillip Morris. After this encounter he will dedicate his life to him and his love, but that is not going to be easy. Enjoy in this beautiful and funny movie.
