I liked the relaxed approach to directing, and to this movie in general. They are not trying to make a wow flick, just an ordinary good movie. Michael Douglas is slightly insane father of Miranda a young teenager, when he is released from an mental institution he comes to his daughters place to live.

She is very independent and resourceful, after all she has to be since both her mother and father left her and the state did not care. In the institution her father accidentally stumbled upon an old diary of Father Tores that he used to construct a location for hidden treasure. He became obsessed with finding that treasure, acting like a real mad man. Will they find the treasure, and how will the movie end it is up to you to find out. Okay performances, okay story, and good production values make this movie a perfect Sunday morning material.
