and we is capable of so much more. This time he plays alcoholic musician with fading glory that spends his days drinking and playing in shitholes across the country. But the chance encounter with a intriguing female will change his life… Pretty usual script for this type of movies, and you might find many similarities with Walk the Line (John Cash). I am sorry that director did not try to make those uncomfortable scenes that usually accompany movies about alcoholics trying to depict the nature of this hobby. Maggie Gyllenhaal did her part pretty good as well as other actors, but of course Jeff stole the show with his masterful performance. And music in the movie is awesome, although I do not listen to country it sounded very refreshing. Enjoy.
