This great Italian flick is based on one thing, and that thing is that Monica Bellucci is superhot. In every other scene she is half naked, naked or preparing to be naked. The story is set during the world war two, and in a small Italian town all the eyes are pointed at one person, and that person is of course Malena. Among the admirers of her looks is a young boy Renato, he becomes obsessed with her, and will do anything to make her fall for him. Very cute and highly sexual obsession in this movie is very interesting, but that is only an intermezzo from waiting to see next Monica scene. Although this movie is good, everyone takes it differently since it is from Europe, so it is kind of artsy flick. I cannot deny that the approach in directing is a bit different than in USA, but still this is sort of exploitation movie, and I like it It will get a good response with female crowd, so everyone can enjoy in it.
