When I read that this movie is one of the Quentin Tarantino’s favorites I had to see it. And what can a man expect from Japanese film makers than this bloody mess. Set in the future, this movie provides us with some rather
unorthodox decisions of the government. In this case government kidnapped an entire high school class, transported it to a remote island where they will fight each other until there is only one left. This is all because adults lost their trust in the youth of the nation, and eventually started to fear young people. This is so perfectly suited with the dissociative Japanese youth and their weird fixation with murder, girls in school uniforms and violence. The movie has an intro of about 5 minutes and after that the mayhem begins. Each of the contenders was given a bag containing food and different weapons, so this ensures that every kill scene is different and creative… Apart from the constant murders, we see that relationships are formed and each character gets their back-story, still this is second to the killings. There are some rumors that there is going to be an American remake of this movie but so far this is not confirmed. Enjoy…

Just over 200 words does not do this film justice nor does it count as a review. Especially considering you spend half of the “review” talking about the plot, you make the rest of us who actually put a lot of work into our writing look like fools.
How can a so called “reviewer” write a review of Battle Royale but not even mention the satire and black comedy mixed in with elements of social commentary?!
Check out The Blood Sprayer and Day of the Woman for how it is actually done.
Wow, what are you gonna do, go to every site that is not like yours and trash them? As you may have noticed, I do not like to bore the readers with long reviews written to impress them and show how smart I am, but short (in this case really short) reviews, trying to get them to see the movie. And that is the most important thing, the movie, after it comes the viewer and then in the end, us reviewers.
So, I will not change anything, because I like it this way, and this is how I feel about movies. If you do not like it, then don`t visit this site, I am sure that we can make without you.
Oh, and I almost forgot, fuck off.
