This commercial horror turned out pretty decent.Stay alive Using a video game, instead of some Internet site, to kill its characters it did not go far from the clichés in the industry but did manage to be interesting. When a group of friends discover a new underground game Stay Alive, and of course, they soon start to die the same way they died in the game.

With the screenings of The Gamer, here`s a bit older flick with the video games tag-line. Production quality is great, and there is a decent amount of gore. Still, characters are pretty one dimensional, but hey, this is just another horror, slasher teen movie. It is definitely worth watching and it will keep you interested up until the end. You might wanna check out the movie Bathory after this one. Enjoy.

Director: William Brent Bell

Cast: Jon Foster, Milo Ventimiglia, Samaire Armstrong, Frankie Muniz, Jimmi Simpson, Wendell Pierce

Rating: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆

Fun Facts: Video game reference: The old-fashioned camera that Abigail uses in the film is a reference to the popular “Fatal Frame” (known as “Rei Zero” in it’s native Japan, and as “Project Zero” in Europe) series of horror/survival games, upon which the “Stay Alive” concept is partially based.
