Another great movie starring Nicolas Cage from 1999, this one is directed (wonderfully) by Joel Schumacher. A private investigator is hired to find out is the footage of a young girl being murdered real or not. His investigation will lead him into an underground world of pornography and snuff movies. Snuff movies contain actual footage of a person being murdered, they are not the same as the movies in which a killer records his murder, because snuff movies are explicitly shot for distribution to other people.

To that twisted world will take him none other than Joaquin Phoenix. As they investigate further their lives will be endangered. Great story,  great acting and a very disturbing theme. If you pay attention towards the end you will see a poster of Danzig on the wall of the Machine`s room. Not to reveal to much, enjoy this great movie.
