If you like police movies this movie is for you (the title says is it all). Freddy Heflin (Sylvester Stallone) is a slightly deaf and almost retarded sheriff of a small New Jersey community that mostly consist of policeman. But a corruption investigation will stir up the muddy waters in this otherwise quiet community shrouded in silence about its activities. I mean Stallone is playing some quiet and deaf guy, he is not naked, but actually acting in role that is perfect for him and his acting capacity. But others are there to help him, like Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta and Robert De Niro. Great story, acting and production values really created a great movie that you can immerse yourself in. Enjoy.

Fun Stuff: Sylvester Stallone gained 40 pounds to add realism to his portrayal of the police officer. He also was only paid SAG minimum wages. By the time that reshoots were required, he had lost the weight again.
