J.J. Abrams (Lost, Mission: Impossible III, Forever Young) and John Dahl (You Kill Me, Rounders, Red Rock West) joined forces for this flick, and you already know it is going to be great. Three friends traveling across the country to see the girlfriend of one of them accidentally pull a prank on a trucker known only by his nickname Rusty Nail. When you fuck with a trucker that has such nickname you know that nothing good is going to come out of it. They find themselves stalked by him, and they will try to escape his rusty nail. Another road movie, much like The Hitcher, Highwayman or other in this genre. So, you can expect suspense and that eiry feeling that someone is following you in this flick. Fun Stuff: Was renamed ‘Road Kill’ in the UK, since taking a ‘Joy Ride’ is not the pleasant journey it is in the states, rather the name for when youths steal cars and race each other or the cops and eventually total and dump the car.
