Coming to us from well-known director Mike Judge (Office Space, Beavis and Butt-Head, Idiocracy) this movie delivers. Unlike the other film critics, I think that it is about as funny as Office Space (although I must admit that that movie had a certain vibe and captured something that a lot of people can identify with). Joel is an average guy that tries to battle the average problems as a business owner and a husband. His employees do not work so much as much as they talk and think they deserve more. At the same time his wife is becoming more and more distant while his new employee Cindy is starting to flirt with him…
As always, the Judge movie works in different levels, business, personal, and some other that I cannot properly define. They all come together in a blend that’s just hilarious. Not as hilarious as it could have been, because it deals with a business owner in trouble and how many business owners do you know? It’s just a matter of with whom you can identify with better. Ben Affleck was very good, I almost did not recognize him, and other actors as well, but I am sure that Clifton Collins Jr. will be the star of the movie for you. I have seen him in many roles and every one of them is just perfect. Extract is a great comedy that you will enjoy in and maybe recognize situations from your own environment. And I loved the Grindcore motive, guys kick ass!
