From Dusk Till Dawn Horror This classic never gets old, it is the beginning of the Grindhouse genre break into mainstream cinema. Of course, Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino later on did the movie called Grindhouse, actually consisting of two feature movies: Planet Terror and Death Proof. After these movies came Hobo with a Shotgun, Machete and many more with varying quality. Back to this masterpiece, combining the thriller and horror and basically dividing the movie into two parts, From Dusk Till Dawn was entertaining from the beginning till the end. It follows the story of two brothers Seth and Richard and their attempt to get across the border to Mexico. During this they will hijack an unsuspecting family, and then they will all end up in a sleazy bar called The Titty Twister, where strange things will start to happen. Featuring a great cast and high production values, this movie has a soul, something that is so rare in today’s world. Acting is excellent, Quentin Tarantino was just perfect for the role of paranoid and crazy murdering brother of George Clooney. I think that you really have to be slightly insane to pull of that kind of performance. You would think that they would fuck something up, but that didn’t happen. We should have known we were dealing with two committed and extremely talented people (Robert and Quentin). Starting from the characters, beautifully rich and so human and continuing with seamless transitions between genres while maintaining that entertaining atmosphere, all the way to magic of the night, magic of the unseen… Anyway not to bore you too much, check out this masterpiece, and if have already seen it, then it is time to see it again. There are two sequels with questionable quality and serous sings of milking, but if you are that much interested in the franchise I would recommend the third part. Enjoy.
